David Cattanio, Treasurer & Artist Director

David Cattanio currently works as Director of Events, for the beloved Quinta los Delfines property, where La Mision Performing Arts is located. David wears many hats here, including Artistic Director and Treasurer. He is also leading a community choir in its second year.

Before moving to Baja in 2019, David lived in Florida, Connecticut, Arizona and California. He was an accomplished business analyst, with more than 30 years in corporate and direct selling industries. He has worked accounts receivable, payable, Information Technology, Human Resources and manufacturing. He has worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies including: General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Xerox, Tervis

Tumbler, and Jackson Hewitt Tax Services.  David has managed large teams, as many as 500 persons, as Executive Director, while selling Partylite Candles & Gifts, and Jewels by Park Lane.

Another passion David has is fundraising. Through party planning and local charity fundraisers, he has organized hundreds of various fundraising events supporting animals, illnesses, awareness, catastrophe relief, and education, thereby helping to raise millions of much needed aid.

David is now thrilled to be doing what he loves best: Entertaining. He has served in the past on a community board and is excited to be on the LMPAC board serving his community once again.

Having lived near Manhattan for nearly 30 years, David gravitated towards the Arts. Starting in high school, David performed in, assisted, and even directed at least a dozen productions including musicals and plays.

David has been on stage throughout his life, but has recently found it more rewarding to be off stage. He is now working various roles at the theater including costumes, set building, and sound, but most importantly, directing and production. What David loves most is seeing the audience laugh, cry, and applaud with joy.  In addition to acting and singing, David studied several instruments including violin, cello, and piano. David taught piano lessons for 10 years.

The 2020 pandemic was a stark reminder of how short life can be. The time is now to “Make it Happen!” David most enjoys guiding children and adults to help them find their hidden talents and to live their biggest dreams.
